Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of heroes who will split off from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that having everyone at one table would be unworkable.
Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might seem mismatched, but the actions of the third episode show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
First, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, striking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The traitor then settled his obligations and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
- The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
- The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as important members in the influential clan could help the team access places they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The target is marked for death by the family.
This leaves them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.
