I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
